This post is the latest in an ongoing series about how we harness the data we collect to improve our products and services for our users. - Ed. We've learned that when performing a search on Google, people sometimes forget to separate words with spaces. Moreover, people often mistakenly repeat a letter within a single word. For instance, when ...

Nokia's Ovi Store has overtaken Apple's App Store as the storefront of choice for mobile developers in emerging mobile markets. But can Nokia leverage its traction in developing economies as Apple and Android build on their momentum in Western markets?

When it comes to Apple’s iPad , the question for many is not if they will buy the device, but when. However, as detailed in our new report at GigaOM Pro (sub. req’d), which presents the results of a survey of technology enthusiasts we ran in [...]

I just got the new Imperator from Razer, and I must say I'm verry happy with it. it's definitely an improvement if you are used to a Deathadder. The mouse is really ergonomic and has no real hard materials on it. It's also slightly smaller than the Deathadder which I like a lot. Razer is doing good things lately =)

“Profitability” can be a squishy term for startups — until they file for an IPO and deliver, through the SEC, what’s often the first unfiltered snapshot of their financial situation: the S-1. That’s been the case for Tesla Motors, which filed on Friday to raise up to $100 million through an initial public offering.

I begged and pleaded with Greg, editor of MobileCrunch, not to make me write this, but it looks like I’m stuck introducing myself to you all. So in my best Troy McClure voice let me say: Hi, my name is Marc Flores. You might remember me from such popular sites as Boy Genius Report or True/Slant.

@andrewpc1 The question is not so much about efficiency, as cooling. but yes, it can be done and I know many who do so. I'm planning to do a new build to use as a kind of "media server" which I will need to leave on all the time.

Over the last year or so, developers have started to make significant amounts of money from the mobile application market. The most lucrative market right now is on the iPhone, and with the announcement of the iPad, Apple's app store is bound to have a lot more apps available by the time it is available to buy. Of course, the iPhone isn't the ...

A petition calling for the UK government to drop Internet Explorer 6 is the latest move in a campaign to kill off the browser.
I’m weary of this notion (even when presented as satire) that anyone who can’t master a computer must clearly be mentally retarded. The personal computer of 2010 is hard to understand for novices and people who struggle with abstract concepts. Macs, PCs, all of them. Folks, it’s us, the freaks who understand drive partitioning, regular ...

I still think this 3dtv crap is useless. I want to watch tv, with my surround sound and HD picture. I want to be able to relax and enjoy, without those goofy glasses or feeling like there's people in my living room. The only time 3d would ever be fun is for a movie, in theaters, which i ould watch, enjoy, then forget about.
Probably pretty good, the problem is will it just be in 3D or both versions one one disc? Not a lot of people (0.2% max) have a 3D capable display, so why buy a 3D disc?
I've been watching a lot of Lost on DVD lately , trying to catch up with seemingly the rest of the Western world before the final season of the TV show premieres tomorrow night. Right now I'm on Season 4, where the mysterious island's survivors find themselves unstuck in time; every few minutes, there's a bright flash of light and a really ...
